Who We Are

Our Mission, Values, Vision, Purpose

Mission

Connecticut CASA empowers a statewide network of caring, consistent volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates to advance the best interests of children who have experienced abuse or neglect—so every child can find a safe, permanent home to thrive.

Part of the national CASA network, our state organization brings this proven approach to Connecticut.

Values

We pursue our mission, in accord with the national CASA values: adaptability, collaboration, integrity, respect, quality, service, and stewardship.

These are Connecticut CASA’s values, too, with the additional value of community:

The Connecticut CASA movement is a community of volunteers and staff, advancing the best interests of children in their communities, rallying community resources for children and their families.

By supporting Connecticut CASA, you are helping our volunteers to boost the trajectories of vulnerable children—to change a child's story.

Vision

As advanced by the National CASA/GAL Association, Connecticut CASA envisions:

A world where every child who has experienced abuse or neglect receives an opportunity to thrive in a safe and loving home.

Purpose

Every child who has experienced abuse or neglect needs a caring, consistent adult to advocate for their well-being.
