Who We Are

Mission, Vision, Purpose

Mission

The mission of CASA of Southern Connecticut is to recruit, train, and support caring adults who serve as court-appointed volunteer advocates to safeguard the best interests of children who have experienced abuse or neglect in New Haven, New London, or Middlesex counties.

Together with other CASA affiliates in the state, the organization works in Connecticut’s Superior Court for Juvenile Matters and with the Department of Children and Families.

Vision

As advanced by the National CASA Association, CASA of Southern Connecticut has this vision:

A world where every child who has experienced abuse or neglect receives an opportunity to thrive in a safe and loving home.

Purpose

Every child who has experienced abuse or neglect needs a caring, consistent adult to advocate for his or her well-being.
