Continuing Education
In order to keep current with issues that relate to the volunteer role, our volunteers are required to complete 12 hours of continuing education per year. For new volunteers, continuing education hours are prorated by the percentage of the year the advocate was a volunteer. The requirement applies to all volunteers who have been sworn and not discharged, regardless of whether they are assigned to a case.

The Rees-Jones Center Foster Care Education Series
The first month of a foster care placement is a high-stakes period for identifying unmet needs. This panel brings together pediatricians and child welfare professionals to discuss the logistical and clinical "triage" that occurs during entry into foster care. The panel will examine how to move beyond a checklist approach to evaluate a child’s "whole-health" profile, ensuring that developmental delays and mental health triggers are identified early and shared across the entire support network.

Human Trafficking 101 Webinar
