How to Help

As a CASA volunteer, you can help change a child’s story.

You can make a difference in the life of a child at a time of their greatest need. CASA of Northern Connecticut seeks committed volunteers to advocate for the best interests of children in foster care.

A CASA volunteer is a trained community volunteer who is appointed by a juvenile court judge to advocate for the best interests of a child who has experienced abuse or neglect. Volunteers are required to complete 30 hours of pre-service training and submit to screening and background checks.  You must be 21 years of age or older.

Volunteers are needed at CASA of Northern Connecticut for cases assigned out of New Britain Juvenile Court.  If you’re interested or have questions, please contact us at: Connecticut CASA or (860) 378-8525.
